Abstract

Apis cerana (Fabr.) Is the local bees Asia that spread almost all over the continent, so it gets the title "Asian honey bee '. In agricultural ecosystems and some natural ecosystems A.cerana is very important pollinator. In Indonesia a very broad spread of A. cerana ie rural areas to the forest area. Perum Perhutani has been trying to encourage people around the forest for livestock A. cerana mainly in producing honey. The problem faced by beekeepers in the district of Padang Pariaman was not their colony propagation technology. During this propagation is done by moving the colony of wild bee colonies artificial nest (stup) Another problem experienced by beekeepers is the limited production of honey for not being springtime. IbM done through training and mentoring Propagation colonies and supplementary feeding to increase honey production. Propagation colony by way of the queen bee breeding work 100%, and even can produce queen cells to 10 cells. Additional food can increase honey production by 20-25% compared to the current season and 30-35% interest when not in flower season. At the time being no spring harvest time of 1.5 months, but with supplementary feeding harvest time of just one month.
